Katey A. Mathes, M.A., CCC-SLP – Owner and Speech-Language Pathologist
Katey Mathes is a full time speech-language pathologist and owner of The T.E.A.M. Approach Speech Therapy Center. She received a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005 and graduated with highest university honors. She received an award for Most Outstanding Graduate Student while completing her degree.
Katey has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, rehab, schools, and private practice with both pediatrics and adults. While working at a charter school, Katey developed and implemented a curriculum of language lessons in the classroom for preschool and Kindergarten-aged students. She has experience with the diagnosis and treatment of expressive language, receptive language, autism spectrum disorders, apraxia, aphasia, articulation, phonological processing, voice, fluency, dysphagia, and oral motor functioning. Katey is certified in DPNS, Vital Stim, and the SOS Approach to feeding. She was recently recognized by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association for her commitment to continuing education.
