Education: Families, other professionals, and the community at large are all considered to be a part of the treatment team, and the exchange of information and knowledge is essential to successful treatment.
Application of Skills: The overall goal in developing treatment plans for clients will be improving function; therefore, practicing skills in "real life" situations and the generalization of skills outside of the therapy center will always be a priority.
